Design Scheme

Our cooperative design scheme intends to inspire the feelings of autonomy, mastery, and purpose in our residents. We achieve this by thinking of our design scheme as a platform.  Rising Commons is a platform for residents to build their personal, artistic, professional, and spiritual lives. Our legal, financial, and physical designs intend to allow residents the flexibility and potential for their creative endeavors.

Each home will consistently create the solid foundation for residents customizations.  These altogether, create a nuanced, living landscape.

Separation in residences creates neighborhoods without the ambition or tools to adapt to economic change. Our challenge to these subdivisions combines non-profit and market-driven models within a dynamic mission of resiliency and entrepreneurship.

Co-working

Cooperation is the force that has propelled coworking spaces to be one of the fastest growing new markets in the United States, inspiring larger businesses to remodel their internal offices after the coworking spaces’ innovations.  Coworking creates an entry level of sharing and skill-building for a cooperative culture.

We know a lot about the ideal environment for a happy whale or a happy mountain gorilla. We’re far less clear about what constitutes an ideal environment for a happy human being. One common measure, for how clean a mountain stream is, is to look for trout. If you find the trout, the habitat is healthy. It’s the same way with children in a city. Children are a kind of indicator species. If we can build a successful city for children, we will have a successful city for all people.
